The Northern Awareness Network (NAN) has reaffirmed its unwavering support for Minister Mohammed Bello Matawalle, describing him as a reliable and dependable leader while refuting allegations made by Hon. Aminu Sani Jaji, whose erratic behavior and unpredictable nature have raised concerns within political circles.
In a statement issued by its Chairman, Salihu Suleiman, NAN highlighted Hon. Jaji’s history of inconsistency, which it said casts significant doubt on his credibility. “The remarks made by Jaji not only lack substance but also reflect deeper issues regarding his reliability and judgment. At a time when the nation faces numerous challenges, stable leadership is paramount,” the statement read.
“The Northern Awareness Network recognizes that leadership is not merely about holding power; it is about embodying qualities that inspire trust. Minister Bello Mohammed Matawalle exemplifies these qualities. His tenure has been marked by a steadfast commitment to security and the well-being of our communities. Under his guidance, we have seen significant strides in enhancing national security, fostering community relations, and promoting unity among diverse groups.”
NAN contrasted Matawalle’s leadership with Jaji’s “volatility,” which it claimed raises serious concerns about his ability to provide stable governance. “Jaji’s actions and statements often reflect a lack of foresight and responsibility, critical attributes for any leader. This inconsistency jeopardizes the integrity of his decisions and undermines stakeholders’ confidence in reliable representation,” the statement added.
The group emphasized the broader implications of Jaji’s conduct, noting that it risks disrupting party dynamics and community relations. “In a political environment where trust is the bedrock of governance, Jaji’s erraticism serves as a cautionary tale. We urge stakeholders to prioritize accountability and support leaders who foster progress,” NAN stated.
Praising Matawalle’s “principled approach,” NAN highlighted his transparency, engagement with stakeholders, and efforts to address security challenges. “Minister Matawalle’s leadership is grounded in prioritizing the people’s welfare. His ability to navigate complex challenges with poise underscores his reliability. We stand firmly behind him,” the statement concluded.
NAN called on APC members and citizens to champion leaders who embody stability and integrity, stressing: “Effective governance demands reliability and a commitment to the collective good. Let us support those who deliver progress.”
